Good to know

Frequently asked questions.

The things people usually want to know before we begin. Anything else, just ask.

How are you paid? Do you charge fees?

Our planning is complimentary. We're compensated by the hotels, cruise lines, and suppliers we book—never by marking up your trip. For especially complex, custom itineraries a modest planning fee may occasionally apply, and we'll always discuss it with you upfront.

Why use a travel agency instead of booking online?

Because the value shows up in the details a website can't sell you: access to sold-out suites and hard-to-get tables, amenities and upgrades through our supplier relationships, and a real person to call when a plan changes mid-trip. You bring the dream; we bring the supplier relationships and expertise to make it happen.

What kinds of trips do you plan?

Luxury cruises, European travel, and worldwide journeys of every kind—honeymoons and anniversaries, multigenerational family trips, groups, golf getaways, and corporate travel. If it involves going somewhere well, it's in our wheelhouse.

Do you only book luxury travel?

We specialize in the high end, but we plan around your priorities, not a price tag. The goal is always the same: the right experience, thoughtfully arranged.

Who do you work with?

We're a boutique advisory planning trips for clients wherever they are, to destinations all over the world.

Booking Conditions

Booking conditions.

A plain-language summary of how bookings work. Final terms are governed by each supplier's own conditions and by the confirmation we provide for your trip.

Deposits & payment

Most trips require a deposit to confirm, with the balance due before departure. Exact amounts and dates vary by supplier and are outlined in your written confirmation.

Changes & cancellations

Change and cancellation terms are set by the airlines, cruise lines, hotels, and operators involved, and can range from fully flexible to non-refundable. We'll always tell you the terms before anything is booked.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance on every trip to protect against cancellation, interruption, and the unexpected. We're glad to point you to options.

Documentation

Travelers are responsible for valid passports, visas, and any health requirements for their destinations. We'll flag what's needed; the final responsibility rests with the traveler.

Our role

Latitude & Co. arranges travel with third-party suppliers and acts as an intermediary. Services are subject to those suppliers' terms and conditions.
